Here’s a nice shot of Mike’s cymbal set up from left to right. All from the “Nemesis” series by Saluda Cymbals. These cymbals are incredibly loud, earplugs are must anytime Mike is playing with these. They are also expertly crafted to allow for a huge dynamic, and expressive range. As a bonus, they look cool as all hell!
This quick, introductory track was written at a practice session to allow us to not only start off our set with a bang, but to also give us an album opener.
“I” is based of the following track’s rhythm and chord progression, just with a different take on the same idea.

This album has been in the works for oh… five years or so? With member changes, stylistic changes, lyric changes, song swapping, tuning changes, life changes… it has been a long time coming and we couldn’t be more proud. We hope you enjoy it and reblog this post or share it with your friends via facebook, twitter, IRL.

Here we are performing our song “Lifeless: Left in the Wake” at our first home town show in over 2 years.
As you may have seen if you have been following us for a while, this song is old! Having been released on our first EP “Dreaming The End” this song has existed in different forms for 3 or so years. I remember writing it in our guitarist Collin’s living room, quite a few other songs were written there as well. I believe there is a lot of inspiration in that house, partially because I think it is haunted. But superstitions aside, this song is now complete and I love how it turned out and evolved through our member changes. We played this song for the first time at the Cobalt Cafe on May 11th 2010. I imagine we’ve played this song at least 200 times since then, maybe even more. This song is about trying to stay confident despite feeling like you’ve been abandoned; and sometimes that means letting go of people/places/events that you thought were there to better you but only held you back from realizing your potential. WE ARE THE BROKEN, WE ARE THE FROZEN. But we are certainly not alone.
For anyone that sees this in a tag they follow, or happens to stumble upon it… please take a listen and let us know what you think. I am always interested to hear how other people interpret our music.
If you enjoy it, it is available for a pay what you want download; so take advantage of that!
